History

Sigma Sigma Sigma is a national sorority founded on April 20, 1898 at Longwood College in Farmville Virginia.

The Alpha Alpha Chapter at Concord University was founded on October 9, 1925. Seventy-nine years later we are still going strong!

Our flower is the purple violet.

Our symbol is the sailboat (signifying grace and beauty and ever forward motion). 

Our open motto is "faithful unto death" symbolized by the skull and crossbones.

Our jewel is the pearl.
