Recommended Course Progression

This is a recommended plan that, if followed, will allow you to obtain a major in Psychology in four (4) years. This recommended plan only pertains to Psychology courses. In order to graduate in four (4) years, you must also satisfy the General Studies requirements as well as complete a minimum of 128 total credit hours.

General Recommendations:

Psy 215: Experimental Psychology is a prerequisite for the following courses:
  • Psy 310: Learning
  • Psy 322: Personality
  • Psy 370: Physiological Psychology
  • Psy 412: Cognitive Psychology
  • Psy 431: History and Systems

  • Psy 210: Behavior Analysis is recommended before Psy 310: Learning

Taking Psy 310: Learning, Psy 370: Physiological Psychology, and Psy 431: History and Systems at the same time is NOT recommended. You should take either Psy 310: Learning or Psy 370: Physiological Psychology in your Junior year.
