Denton Vacuum DV-502 high-vacuum coater located in the electron microprobe lab ![]() A separate sample preparation lab with: Hillquist thin section machine Buehler grinder/polisher with magnetic quick-change system several rock
saws for small, medium, and large samples
and polarizing light (petrographic) microscopes Additional analyical equipment available for use includes: an atomic force microscope (AFM), Raman spectroscometer, gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer (GC-MS), gas chromatograph (GC), high performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC), Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR), supercritical fluid extraction equipment, a fluorimeter, and UV/Vis spectroscopy. |
