Faculty Recognition


  • Faculty award:  Dr. Susan Robinett was named 2006 Business Education Teacher of the Year by the West Virginia Business Education Association.

 

  • Faculty  credential:  Mr. Tom Shelton, CPA, CMA, was recently awarded the CFE designation (Certified Fraud Examiner) by the ACFE.

 

  • Professional Development:  Mr. John Fazio, professor of management, has begun his Ph.D. program, Nova University.

 

  • Professional Development:  Dr. Nancy Niles, professor of management, has begun work on an additional MSN/MBA in Management, specializing in Health Care topics, University of Maryland.

  • Student Investment Club earnings: 30.53%

 

  • Bobby Barber wins accounting award:  Outstanding Accounting Senior Award from the WV Society of CPAs.  One student was selected from each of 8 schools submitting student’s names for entry. 

  Business Advisory Council Recognition

 

  • Angela Cline completed her MBA, January 07, from Walden University, specializing in Human Resource Management and Health Services.  Has begun Ph.D. in accounting, also through Walden University
  • Congratulations to Christy Elliott for promotion to Banking Officer. As a Banking Officer, Christy has shown she is capable of representing BB&T in a positive manner to the public as well as to the internal staff. She received this promotion as a result of her 2006 production in her current program - BB&T @Work.
  •  Regrets to Matt Keesecker on loss of his brother
