Catalog Description:

Study of changes in the Earth's crust, global climate, oceans, and life through 4.6 billion years of geological time. Topics include fossils, mass extinctions, and the geologic development of the Appalachians. Lab emphasizes field study of southern West Virginia geology. A General Studies lab science course appropriate for both science and non-science majors. Three hours lecture, three hours lab or field per week. (S)
